Why do the Smoothie Challenge?

Drinking nutrient-rich smoothies is a great way to experience more energy & reduce cravings to support your health goals. Yet that doesn’t mean you have to give up all the foods you love—that’s just miserable! The Smoothie Challenge will show you how to have both and feel amazing.

Crave healthier lifestyle

Our smoothies are loaded with hydration, vital nutrients, plant protein and fiber, that nourish and keep you craving healthier foods all day long.

Boosted Energy All Day

Blending the cell walls of fruits and vegetables releases natural sugars and plant fibers to give you sustained energy without the jitters or a crash.

Kitchen Confidence

By the end of the challenge, you’ll have learned a variety of ways to blend leafy greens with fruits and super foods to taste and feel great.

Stronger Immune system

Consuming fruits and veggies high in vitamins A and C boost the immune system, which is your body’s natural defense system against infections and viruses.

Improved Gut health

The fiber + anti-inflammatory ingredients in my smoothies act as an internal broom to help food inside your body “move along,” which can help with bloating, acne and weight loss.

I got my answer today about sugary fruits.

I enjoyed this last smoothie and did make some changes in the previous smoothies too. I am pre diabetic and have high cholesterol so I’m trying to avoid the super sugary fruits like bananas and in this last smoothie recipe you said to swap it with frozen cauliflower, what a great idea!!!! You are right, the taste of it is pretty inexistent.. loved this idea!!!

I do smoothies daily and using ginger and turmeric in every single smoothie (love ginger) unfortunately at times the taste of ginger is prevalent to everything I use.

I loved this challenge because I learned how to mix, swap ingredients as my liking and healthier to my needs.

I read someone said it would be nice to have the challenge for be 2 weeks and I completely agree!!

Thank you for helping me make my smoothies healthier and interesting.

I joined the challenge to renew my confidence in making smoothies. I was a green smoothie junkie about 13 years ago. We were an army family and I was on a weight loss and health renewal journey. Since my husband retired from the army, we’ve moved a few times, adjusted to civilian life and raised our kids. AND gotten older lol! I needed a kickstart to revitalize my health and ease my creaky joints. I enjoyed the recipes during the challenge. The PDF was very helpful, so thank you! I did add pea protein, chia seeds and sometimes oats to my smoothies depending on my needs for the day. I slept better and deeper overall, and felt refreshed when I woke up the next day. I didn’t lose any weight but I did have a lot less bloating. I plan to repeat the challenge this week and add an additional green smoothie each day. Thank you and your team for putting this even together. It has been a great experience!

I joined to try the smoothie recipes that give me alternatives for healthier eating. I enjoyed making all the recipes and only the honey turmeric smoothie was not for me, although with some tweaks it could be. I will work on the tweaks. I lost 4 pounds over the week so hoping I keep it off by rotating smoothies into my regular daily eating. I’m glad you added the PDF for the grocery list. I didn’t try any of the challenge deals (not that I didn’t like them, just didn’t get to take advantage of them), but with having the flu this week I don’t recall them, but you probably mentioned them at the pre-challenge workshop. I didn’t read many emails this week, so I may have missed that info if it was in an email. My inbox was inundated with emails every time someone posted a comment so I will have to figure out how to turn that off for future challenges as I miss finding other emails in the long list of smoothie challenge comments, which I just log in and read the comments on the website anyway. I really enjoyed the week, loved all the pics everyone posted. Maybe I will win a Vitamix one day that also has the option for the food processor bowl. I would love to get rid of my old food processor! I’m hoping you will do a soup challenge, which would be a great winter challenge as I eat more soup in the winter as a warm up. Thanks for a great week!

I joined for the accountability weight loss to support my mental and gut health etc. I liked all of the recipes. I have more energy I am craving less sweets and I lost 3 lbs. I was replacing my lunch or dinner eith a smoothie and I was fasting + No sugar low carb diet. I will continue to do the same. I am proud of myself because I managed to start a healthy lifestyle. Without this challenge I know that I was going to keep postponing the start date for a healthier life. I would need to push myself to start exercising to add to the healthy lifestyle. That is a change I must make.

I joined to get a better blend on my smoothies with many options. Loved all the recipes. My body does not hurt with the many anti-inflammatory additions of Turmeric and Ginger to each smoothie. The week made me choose my meals wisely.

I wanted to try different smoothies. I make smoothies between 4-6 times per week but they are usually very similar (ingredient wise). This made me branch out of my comfort zone with different ingredients (veggies fruit ginger yogurt etc). I loved it. I loved some of the recipes more than others but I made and drank them ALL! This is me first challenge and I wasn’t expecting sooo many people to be in the challenge. Wow! I will definitely try these recipes again and I may vary a few that I thought were a bit difficult to swallow. Thank you for hosting this challenge and for sharing your recipes!

I joined to encourage better eating habits. I didn’t notice any changes unfortunately but it was only a week. I definitely got in more veggies and greens this past week.

I was happy to stick with the 7 day challenge. I make smoothies regularly but usually I don’t change it up too much.

I enjoyed drinking the rainbow this week. There was lots of variety and tastes. The Challenge helped me get back on track of pursuing my goal of incorporating Simple Green smoothies into my diet regularly. I would like smoothies using more greens next time.

I’m 76. I enjoy the community. I enjoy trying a healthy option that I might not make all the time. It gets my son & grandson to eat a little healthier once in a while. I liked some of the recipes. The Blueberry smoothie was the best and I will have that again when the weather gets warmer. The chocolate peanut butter smoothie was delicious, too.

Amazing challenge! This was my very first smoothie challenge and I loved it! I signed up for the challenge to become more confident with making smoothies. For the most part, I made the recipes as written because I didn’t want to experiment with the flavor. There were some I loved as is and some I would change up. I will definitely be making them all again to try different suggestions I read in the discussion group. I enjoyed the discussion page and getting to see everyone’s smoothies….they all looked so good. It was also investing to see what changes people made, some that I might incorporate in making the smoothies again. I missed out on the 14 day trial of Rawk the Year….I think with all the information coming in at the beginning of the challenge I was overwhelmed and missed the details. I would like to have that offer at the end of the challenge so I could also incorporate some of the meals with my knowledge of smoothies. It would help me decide about signing up for for the monthly access. Thanks again to Jen and the Simple Green Smoothies team! I really enjoyed this week of smoothies!

First time joining and actually completing the challenge. I have been a member for Rawk the Year for some time and all the recipes are simple and easy to make. I am glad I finally committed to finishing and actually participating in the community- Jen has made it sooooo easy with the Circle app! I feel great and ready to commit and finish the next challenge! Best new technique- adding cauliflower to morning smoothies! Trying to get veggies with every meal is not easy for me. The recipes include ingredients that I would never consider trying and would typically skip the recipe all together. Glad I took the leap the recipes do not disappoint! Thanks for a well organized program and system!

I joined because I needed a boost to my diet and to feel better. I spent the last 12 months dealing with breast cancer and the associated chemo/radiation and now I need to get back to feeling good. I also needed the ease of someone telling me which recipe to do what I needed to buy which made the whole process super easy to do. Now I feel more energized it’s easier to eat healthier all day when I start with a smoothie and I’m proud that I managed to do the whole week. All of the recipes were great – some I liked more than others of course – but I will definitely do them again. I need to boost my protein ahead of reconstruction surgery and this is an easy way to do that with adding the homemade protein powder to these nutritious smoothies so I get double benefit. I am definitely going to keep this up. I feel so much better less bloated and generally more optimistic about stuff. Thank you for doing this. It has made such a difference to me.

I joined the challenge to try more of your great smoothie recipes. They are clear enough even I can make a decent smoothie. And the challenge makes me get off my duff, quite procrastinating (i’m an expert at that), and get to doing. I always feel more energized after one of these challenges, not sure if its just the smoothies or the running around I have to do to get the supplies and making the smoothies. Either way I am always appreciative of the improvement in how I feel. Now if you had a challenge every week maybe I could eventually get in the habit of drinking smoothies on a regular basis. I can only hope :). Found it interesting that I was unable to submit the form until I check all of the boxes, so some of this info is not mine it is the forms requirement
